“Fahrräder bewegen Bielefeld e.V.” is a non-profit association started in 2015. At several events, we prepared bicycles donated by citizens of Bielefeld and handed them out to people in need.
We currently operate two workshops in districts of Bielefeld Brackwede and Heepen where we collect donated bikes which we repare and hand out.
We have a diverse target group:
- Refugees in our “open workshop”, where we are also focused on interaction between our supporters and the recipients of the bikes
- School classes of international pupils
- Charity organizations
- Elementary schools
Up to this point, we have already repaired and given away over 1000 bicycles and together, we want to add to that number.
Cycling connects people, enables mobility and supports integration. To help with that is the main goal of our organization.
